The Lithium Robot (part 7 of 12)

With food on his cheek and a newfound optimistic attitude, Samuel slowly got up from the booth as to not upset his stomach too much.  He glanced at his watch, and realized that it was ten till three!  He had to hurry, and fast if he wanted to make the auditions at Town Hall.  On his way to the auditions, Samuel realized that he may have over eaten, and that he was not going to be as flexible or active as he would have been had he not eaten those three meatball sandwiches.  No matter, he thought.  Although he knew his coveted Lithium Robot would now not be possible, as he needed to be slender for it, he felt that he would still be able to do his newly founded "Spanish Salsa."  He went over the very complicated moves in his head, mostly having to do with neck jerks and back spasms, on his way to Town Hall.

As Samuel approached the front door of the building, he noticed a bright pink sign on it, as well as a lack of people or cars.  Now Samuel knew that the Dance Auditions were not going to draw as big of a crowd as the County’s Annual Milk Tasting Contest, but he still assumed there would be several fans, fellow dancers, and possibly reporters.  However, upon seeing the pink sign, Samuel understood why he was the only one there, as it read:

"The Dance Auditions have been delayed until 9:00pm tonight, we are sorry for this inconvenience."

The news of the delay came as both a letdown and a blessing for Samuel.  The delay meant that he had six more hours until the audition would now start, and he did not know if his motivation to dance would stick with him.  On the other hand, the fact that the auditions would be delayed gave his stomach time to digest the feast he had just encountered.  Maybe in six hours he would be able to perform the Lithium Robot at maximum flexibility.

Samuel now faced a problem, albeit not as big as the problems King Phillip II faced in his war with England, but a rather troubling one.  Samuel had a lot of time before his court appointment, which he was now hesitant to go to, as he knew if he danced he would forever fail his hero.  He needed to talk to someone about his problem, he needed to find something that would truly bring joy to his heart while at the same time, most importantly would make these next six hours go by fast.  He knew instantly who to call, and he had better hurry for the museum workers were getting off work now.
